Slentech is pioneer in providing variety of high speed & multi-channel Data Loggers & Data Acquisition Systems (DAQ Systems) for all the types of industrial applications in Australia, New Zealand and Oceania.

Data loggers are designed to measure static strain, a phenomenon where the subject strain either does not change at all or changes very slowly. Data loggers offer professional measurement and documentation for research and development purposes as well as for process control applications. The data loggers provide a single measuring instrument for all types of measurement with different types of sensors connected. These data loggers have infinite possibilities for sensor connection, data processing and device networking.

Data loggers are available in 2 types: stand-alone and PC-controlled. Both are oriented to automatic multi-channel measurement as intelligent, expandable systems. A data logger can stably measure micro-volt signals in strain/stress measurement indoors and outdoors. Besides that advantage, some recently developed data loggers have a processing capability incorporated into the portable package. Advancements in electronic components, progress in multimedia in information-related fields and downsizing of equipment have generated the following demands:

  • Simultaneous measurement of various static variables including strain/stress, load, pressure, acceleration, displacement, torque, voltage and temperature
  • Visual presentation of the progressive status of measurement
  • Unattended measurement
  • More compact and lightweight design
  • Capability to measure not only static phenomena but also events changing at a frequency of several hertz
  • Efficient measurement and data collection through Internet or Ethernet LAN

Multi-channel Data Recorders/Analysers or Data Acquisition Systems (DAQ) are used for measurement, recording, analysing and presentation of real world phenomena. DAQ systems include electrical measurements such as voltage, current, power as well as the measurement, recording & analysing of data from sensors and transducers. These sensors and transducers can be measuring temperature, pressure, flow, level, strain, acceleration, pH, humidity and any other physical parameters. Following are the salient features of DAQ systems:

  • Simultaneous measurement of static or dynamic variables ranging from strain/stress to load, pressure, acceleration, displacement, torque, temperature and frequency. Not only, strain gauges and transducers but data from voltage-output sensors, thermocouples & pulse-output sensors can also be measured.
  • Real-time monitoring to enable smooth measurement
  • Statistic processing and waveform analysis of variables under measurement for time and distance
  • Multi-channel signal conditioner systems make the processing and sampling speed higher
  • Provide instruments and systems with various interfaces such as USB and LAN for operation under PC control
  • Long-term data recording with various storage media such as hard disk and flash memory card
