Slentech offers ASC Sensors for Innovative test & measurement solutions for the vehicle industry. The demanding automotive test and measuring sector look no further than our varied range of Accelerometers to meet the diverse challenges. We offer them high quality sensor solutions, including the following applications:
Operational stability tests
ASC Capacitive Accelerometers excel in withstanding mechanical stresses in particular, when exposed to the harshest operating conditions. The triaxial sensor ASC 5521MF, is a popular accelerometer for strength tests due to its wide frequency response and excellent shock resistance. With just 3 grams and with a compact cube form, the ASC 4221MF sensor is ideal for installing in the most confined of spaces.
Test bench applications
Such applications require Accelerometers capable of meeting long-term and ongoing requirements. Here, both capacitive MF series and LN series are the best options due to their temperature stability, durability and reliability. The ASC MF series is suited to applications with an operating temperature ranging from -40°C to 125°C. The ASC Low-Noise series features ultra-low broadband noise of 50 µg/√Hz with a measuring range of 2 g.
Modal analysis in the automotive sector requires lightweight and high-frequency accelerometers, which minimize the mass load exerted on test structures. The Triaxial IEPE-Accelerometer ASC P203A12 (with TEDS) is frequently used in modal tests, since it weighs only 6 grams and has a high dynamic range.
The MEMS Piezoresistive Accelerometers from ASC are one of the most cost-effective uniaxial crash sensors around. ASC 61C1 and ASC 62C1 are used in side and frontal impact tests among others. The triaxial ASC 76C1 crash sensor stands out in particular, because of its lightweight and compact construction.
Driving dynamics tests
The use for MEMS Capacitive Accelerometers with a DC response from ASC, include driving dynamic applications like lane-change tests, braking tests and driving manoeuvre tests. ASC sensors are durable, low-noise and exceptionally accurate as well as having compact dimensions. ASC sensors with protection classes IP67 and IP68 can handle even the harshest natural elements such as cold, heat, humidity and dust in their stride. Both the ASC 4411LN and ASC 5525MF models as well as the hermetically sealed OS-115LN sensor are ideal in this context.
When measuring vehicle Acceleration and Angular Speeds, as required for road vehicle studies, the ASC IMU 7.x.y is a preferred choice. Its low weight and ultra-compact structure make the ASC IMU 7.x.y an ideal choice for R&D braking and vehicle tests. With the IMU 7.x.y, ASC offers a unique modular system, allowing a customised configuration to meet an individual requirement.
The Gyroscopes (angular rate sensors) ASC 271 and ASC 273 are installed in dynamic gear & roller shutter measurements, position & motion measurements and slippage tests. These applications require outstanding bias stability and low g sensitivity.
Driving comfort measurement
Measuring driving comfort without ASC is almost inconceivable. Here, our accelerometers help in identifying unwanted impacts and vibrations. Which may impede subsequent driveability and boost the level of passenger comfort in the process. Human reactions to vibrations affecting the whole body can be simulated and assessed using our Vibration Sensors. The triaxial ASC 5511LN sensor with its low frequency and measurement range and high sensitivity is ideally configured for such applications.
